About the Young Islanders
Introducing the “Young Islanders”! There is a new group on Davis Islands just for children. Created by Davis Islands adult volunteers, the Young Islanders aims to foster a sense of community among the younger Davis Islands Residents. DI children up to age 12 now have an opportunity to network, work on group projects, exchange ideas, and support each other in an effort to better our wonderful neighborhood and community.

The Young Islanders mission:

  • Foster an atmosphere of ‘caring for our environment’ and ‘giving to our community’.
  • Increase understanding of basic civic duties and their importance in improving quality of life.
  • Grow Young Islander’s awareness of personal and neighborhood safety and courtesy.
  • Participate in fund raising activities in support of the Children’s Medical Center at Tampa General Hospital and the Ronald McDonald House.

We have many fun events on the horizon. See below for exciting details about our group. Participation in the Young Islanders is free.

Young Islanders is a group of children 12 and under and their parents or guardians. Parents/guardians are responsible at all times for their children's safety during participation in events or activities organized by the Young Islanders. Contact youngislanders@yahoo.com for more info.
